I've been thinking about the security concerns raised in connection with Patrick Alonzo Alston's senseless death outside that Shell gas station. It's really alarming to consider how something as basic as proper lighting or security cameras might have potentially deterred this crime. It makes me question the priorities of businesses in ensuring the safety of their patrons.
My heart goes out to Patrick's family. I can only imagine their frustration and grief, not just from losing a loved one, but in having to navigate such complex legal matters. It’s so important for them to have solid representation and someone who will fight for justice on Patrick’s behalf.
Also, I can't help but wonder, how many more tragedies like this might have been avoided with better preventative measures? Have others noticed similar issues at other establishments in the area? If sharing our stories can prevent even one more tragedy, then it's worth speaking up. Stay safe, everyone.
Hey everyone,
I’ve been following the case of Patrick Alonzo Alston, and something that's been on my mind is the issue of unsolved cases piling up here in Charlotte. Patrick's was the 11th homicide just in January 2019, which is just a staggering number. I’m concerned about how resources are being spread across these cases. Each one of these victims deserves justice, and it's worrying to think cases like Patrick's might not get the attention they deserve because of the sheer volume.
I’ve heard that the Crime Stoppers program has been helpful in past cases by encouraging people to come forward with information anonymously. I’m hopeful that someone out there will remember something about that night at the gas station and come forward to help bring some closure to his family. Anyone else frustrated with how slow these investigations can be? How can we ensure these cases get the focus they need?
My thoughts are with Patrick's family and loved ones during this time. If there's any way the community can rally around them to support their search for answers, we should definitely step up.
Stay safe, everyone.
