I’ve been following Lucero Sosa Capote's case, and I keep thinking about the bravery she showed that devastating morning. It’s just so incredibly unfair that her life was taken away while she was trying to protect her kids. As a mother myself, I can't even imagine the strength it must have taken for her to face that danger head-on. I hope the community continues to rally around her children and family—no one should have to face something so tragic alone. It's moments like this that remind us of the ultimate sacrifice a parent is willing to make for their children. Rest in peace, Lucero, you were truly a remarkable and selfless person, and your love and courage will never be forgotten.
