Has anyone else been following the Rocio Gonzalez case in Burlington? I was reading up on it and can't stop thinking about her family and what they're going through right now. I came across a detail in one of the articles about how the police received a call initially for a "cardiac issue." It's just so sad how things can escalate to such a devastating point that results in this kind of senseless tragedy. I wonder if that initial misconception about the call may have delayed the urgency of the response? Just a thought. My heart goes out to those who knew Rocio—it's always tough when these cases hit so close to home and remind us of the very real threat posed by domestic violence.
