I’ve been following the case of Josue Marlin Portillo, and it’s really unsettling to see how gun violence is impacting Durham more and more. What happened to him is just so tragic, and my heart goes out to his family and friends. They’re left with so many questions.
One thing that bothers me is why Eric Humberto Ramirez hasn’t been caught yet. It's unsettling to know that even after the charges were filed, no arrest has been made. Perhaps the community can pull together to provide any information that could lead to his capture. Just imagining the pain Josue’s family must be in, waiting for justice, is hard enough.
