I've been following Deontray Love's case and can't stop thinking about the role of the convenience store argument in the whole tragic event. It seems so surreal to me that something that might have been a minor disagreement escalated into such a devastating outcome. It makes you wonder how differently things could have gone if someone had stepped in to de-escalate the situation early on. My heart goes out to Deontray’s family, especially his mom, Latasha. I can't even begin to imagine the pain of receiving such news in a parking lot, completely blindsided. This senseless violence is affecting so many lives. I really hope the community can come together to help prevent things like this from happening again. Keeping Latasha and her family in my thoughts as they seek justice for Deontray.
