It's been nearly a decade since Chuck Owens tragically lost his life, and my heart goes out to his family and friends who continue to endure this pain each day. I find it so unsettling that such a carefree moment—sitting on a park bench—could end in such senseless violence. Marie Wideman Park is supposed to be a peaceful place for our community, and to think that someone with malicious intent could be roaming free is chilling. If anyone who was around the area remembers seeing anything that might help, even something that seemed insignificant at the time, please come forward. Sometimes, small details can make a big difference in solving a case. Chuck's family deserves closure, and we, as a community, need to ensure that justice is served. Stay vigilant, folks, and let's hope we can finally get answers for Chuck.
