It’s been almost four years since we lost Tena, and her story still weighs heavily on my heart. What truly stands out is the outpouring of love and support from the Erwin community. In such a small town, everyone seems to know each other, and in times of tragedy, neighbors become family. After the incident, I remember seeing people come together, organizing vigils and meal trains for Tena’s family. It reinforces the idea that even in the darkest times, there's a light in the kindness of others. Has anyone else experienced or seen similar community responses in difficult times? It would be heartening to hear how others have found strength in their surroundings.
Does anyone have more info about the relationship between Tena and Randy before this tragic event? It's so hard to wrap my head around how such a tragedy could happen. From what I've read, Tena was loved by so many, and it’s difficult to understand what might have led to this. If they had known each other for a long time, were there any signs that things weren’t alright between them? My heart goes out to Tena’s daughter and the rest of her family—losing someone like this must be unimaginably painful. I hope they find some comfort in the love and support from the community during such a difficult time.
