I recently came across the case of Danzelle Boomer, and I can’t stop thinking about what his family and kids must be going through right now. The fact that the investigation is still ongoing and nobody has been brought to justice yet is really troubling. It's hard not to feel for his children, Marvelous and Judaya—losing a parent in such a tragic way is unimaginable.
I think it's really important for the New Bern community to rally together and help the police with any information they might have. Even the smallest detail could make a difference. It's crucial that we help bring some closure and justice to his family. If anyone here is from the area or knows someone who might have seen or heard something, please speak up. Has anyone else been following the Danzelle Boomer case out of New Bern? It's really upsetting to think about his children, Marvelous and Judaya, who now have to grow up without their dad. I can't imagine the pain his parents, Sharon and Marcus Burden and Eric Jennett, must be going through right now.
I've been reading a lot about the area where the shooting happened, around Dillahunt Street and Carver Street. Some locals have mentioned there might be tensions in that neighborhood, but I haven't seen much about whether it's been a hotspot for violence in the past. Does anyone here have insights on the community dynamics there or know if this was an isolated incident?
