Has anyone else been following the details (or lack thereof) about Yazeed Alsawalha's case? What's been striking to me is the location — the Arcadia Student Living Complex. This place is supposed to be a safe haven for students, especially being so close to UNCC. As someone who lived in a similar complex during my own college years, I find it really unsettling that something like this could happen in what’s essentially a student community. I can’t imagine what Yazeed's family and friends must be going through, knowing that he was taken away in such a senseless act of violence. You’d expect that there’d be a FEW security measures in place in a student living area, right? Maybe this tragedy will urge the management to ramp up safety protocols for the sake of the current and future tenants. Sending a lot of strength to everyone who knew and loved Yazeed. Let's hope CMPD can gather the information needed to piece this together soon. If you were in the area or know anyone who was, it’s more important now than ever to speak up.

Hey everyone, I've been following the case of Yazeed Alsawalha closely, and one thing that really struck me is the location of the incident. It happened at the Arcadia Student Living Complex, which is really close to the UNC Charlotte campus. As a student myself, it makes me think about how vulnerable these living situations can be. I can't even imagine how terrifying it must be for other students living there right now, knowing something like this happened in their community. I feel deeply for Yazeed's family and friends, who must be going through unimaginable pain. It's just so unnerving to think that someone could lose their life in a place that's supposed to feel like home. I really hope the police can find the answers they need soon. For anyone out there who may have seen something that night, please consider reaching out, even if it feels small. Stay safe out there, everyone.
