Has anyone else been puzzled by the telegram supposedly sent from Dallas after the Pattersons vanished? It's always seemed strange to me that it wasn't signed with William's correct initials. Could it have been intentionally done to throw people off, or was it just a mistake? Also, with everything I've read, it seems odd that no one ever confirmed any of the Mexico sightings. If they did make it to Mexico, it raises even more questions about why they left in such a hurry and in such a chaotic state. Just can't shake the feeling that there's more to this story than what's on the surface. What do you all think?

I've always been intrigued by the mysterious case of Margaret and William Patterson. One thing that has always stood out to me is the discovery of the blood near the water heater and the piece of scalp on William's boat. Considering the timeline, it's strange that this witness waited so long to come forward with such critical information. It makes me wonder if there was pressure or fear that prevented them from speaking up earlier. Given the condition of the home and their strong ties to their pet cat, the scene doesn't fit the profile of people who left willingly. This makes me doubt the sightings in Mexico; they seem incongruous with the disarray left behind. Could it be possible that the couple left, or were taken against their will, and that any evidence was hidden or deliberately overlooked at the time? It's just baffling that we have these pieces of a puzzle with no way to connect them definitively. Does anyone else have thoughts on why the person waited until 1984 to share their discovery? I've never understood how details like that can stay hidden for so long.
