I've been following Avion McLean's case closely, and something that really sticks out to me is the boldness of this attack. It's shocking to think how brazen the shooters were, targeting him right outside the Guilford County Courthouse in broad daylight. I mean, it was during regular hours with people all around—they clearly didn't care about being seen. What's more unsettling is that the Guilford County Sheriff's Office itself was hit by gunfire. Thankfully, no one inside was hurt, but it makes me wonder what the shooters were really aiming for and how much worse this could have been. Were these shots intentional, or just a product of the chaos? Either way, it's terrifying to think about the kind of mindset someone must have to carry out such an attack in such a public place. Sending love and strength to Avion's family and friends. No one should have to experience such a senseless loss. I sincerely hope witnesses from that day will feel safe enough to come forward to aid the police investigation. It's crucial that we get justice for Avion and prevent something like this from happening again.
