Has anyone else been following the case of Connie Woolard Hunt from Chocowinity? I've been thinking a lot about how dedicated Connie was to her community. Beyond being a loving mother and grandmother, she contributed so much through her business ventures and her incredible talent as a cosmetologist. It sounds like her home-based salon was not just a business but a place where she connected with so many people on a personal level. I can only imagine how her clients, many of whom were probably also her friends, must feel in the wake of this tragedy. Her passion for her Koi pond and flowers also gives us a glimpse of her peaceful nature and love for beauty, which makes the violence of her death all the more shocking. The thought that someone she likely trusted and had as part of her life, even in a distant sense, could do such a thing is just too much to wrap my head around. Let's keep her family in our thoughts as they navigate this incredibly difficult time. Also, does anyone know if there have been any community gatherings or memorials held for her? It feels like something the community might have done to honor her memory.
