Has anyone else heard about Bob's disappearance from Fort Carson back in '69? I was digging into old archives and found a small mention that he was last seen at a local diner in Colorado Springs, chatting with a few fellow servicemen. This got me wondering if any of those guys are still around to share what they remember. I know it's been decades, but the stories from that era always have some untold piece we can learn from. Anyone have any thoughts on how best to track those folks down or know if any were ever interviewed back then?
Has anyone else come across the story of Bob, the army guy who went missing in 1969 from Fort Carson? Something that's been puzzling me is how there seemed to be so little media coverage back then, even given the time period. I know communication was different, but it's wild to think someone could just disappear while in the military, and it not be a huge story. Does anyone have any insight or theories on why this might have been the case? Was the media less inclined to report on cases that involved military personnel at the time, or is there another angle I'm missing here? Would love to hear everyone's thoughts.
I’ve been diving into Bob's case a bit and came across something intriguing about Fort Carson around the time he disappeared. Does anyone know if there were any major personnel changes or reshufflings happening in May 1969? I’m curious if maybe Bob’s disappearance could be connected to a transfer or leave that went unrecorded. It just seems odd that he vanished without a trace. Anyone have thoughts on how the Army would handle such records from back then?
