Has anyone looked into the reports from the locals who claimed to have seen plane wreckage near Mount Waldo? I find it odd that despite multiple search efforts in that specific area, nothing has been confirmed. I mean, I know how dense and rugged the terrain can be, but with all the technology we have now, like drones and satellite imaging, you'd think something would've been found by now. Also, could poor weather conditions that day have caused the plane to drift farther off course than we think? This always makes me wonder if maybe we're just not searching in the right places. If anyone in the area has any new insights, even the smallest details might help!
Has anyone else heard about the possible witness sightings around Mount Waldo? Some locals claimed to have seen wreckage back then, but it got me thinking—in such a densely wooded area, how easy would it be to overlook debris? Even after all these years, pieces of the plane might still be hidden beneath layers of fallen leaves and brush.
I'm curious if there could be other folks in the nearby communities who might remember something from that time, maybe stories passed down but never officially reported. Old hunters or hikers might have stumbled upon something unusual but dismissed it as nothing significant. Given how small the aviation community was back in the '70s, you’d think there’d be more chatter about it.
Also, for those who are familiar with the terrain around Mount Waldo, are there any specific challenges that could explain why search teams have repeatedly come up empty-handed despite numerous efforts?
