Hi everyone, I've been following the tragic case of Ray Marese Garlins, and something that's been on my mind is the role of electronic monitoring in situations like this. It's incredibly concerning to me that despite being on monitoring probation, a suspect could allegedly be involved in such a severe crime. How is it that the system in place to ensure public safety can fail in such a crucial way? Ray’s family and friends must be feeling an unimaginable sorrow, and it seems like the community’s trust in these monitoring systems is shaken. Maybe this case will push for a review of how such devices are being supervised and managed. I hope we see some meaningful changes to help prevent similar tragedies in the future.
