I can't stop thinking about Carlton and how his future was taken from him so tragically. From everything I've read and the bits I've heard from community members, he seemed like a bright teenager with so much potential ahead. It's a hard pill to swallow knowing how abruptly life can change for a family. Zebulon is such a close-knit community, and it's difficult to imagine the pain his friends and relatives are going through right now. I also wanted to bring up the role of community involvement in this case. It's heartening to see how the residents and local police came together to quickly identify the suspect using surveillance footage. This shows how vital collaboration can be in ensuring justice is served. Even though nothing can bring Carlton back, I hope his family finds some peace in knowing that the people of Zebulon rallied around them and helped put the wheels of justice in motion. Sending love and strength to everyone affected by this tragedy.
