Has anyone else been following the developments about the shooting at the Phillips Avenue plaza? I was shocked to hear how close the incident was to both the barbershop and the convenience store. I keep thinking about all the people who might have been in the area at the time—it must have been so terrifying. It makes me wonder what kind of security measures were in place, if any. I understand the barbershop owner mentioned the shooting didn't happen inside, but it really raises questions about the general safety of that whole complex. The other day, I read about how businesses might be held accountable for not providing enough security for visitors. Do any of you know if similar cases have brought about changes in security policies or urged property owners to step up? I can't help but think about Jose Alberto Corea's family and how heart-wrenching this must be for them. It's a real concern for everyone in the community, and my thoughts are with all who have been affected.
