The detail that sticks out to me most is the pool of blood that was partially covered with tar. That seems like such a deliberate action. It makes me wonder if someone familiar with the shop, maybe even a coworker or someone who had access to the supplies there, could have been involved. Tar isn’t exactly something everyone has easy access to, so it feels like it could be a clue about the person responsible or their connection to the site. Also, why hide the blood if the shop was left wide open? Such a strange and eerie detail in this decades-old mystery. Has anyone looked into the availability or use of tar at the shop extensively? It could be worth considering.
