I’ve been following the tragic case of Katrina Renee Smith, and one thing that keeps haunting me is how neighbors described hearing gunshots only moments after first responders had arrived. It's chilling to think about the chaos and fear that must have gripped that neighborhood in those moments. I can’t imagine what the emergency responders felt, thinking they were there for a medical issue and then suddenly hearing gunshots. I hope they have all the support they need. Also, I’ve read that officials are trying to determine more about the relationship between Katrina and her son, Ya-Qway. It’s so hard to comprehend how these situations unfold. My thoughts are with her friends and family who are having to deal with this unimaginable loss.
