I read about the tragic loss of young Tavorje Kelly, and it's been on my mind a lot. My heart really goes out to his family and friends. Something that's been bothering me is the aftermath for his classmates at Eastern Wayne Middle School. Can you imagine being a young teenager and experiencing something so horrific? Losing a friend in such a senseless act of violence must be incredibly confusing and painful for them.
I'm curious if the school has implemented any support systems or counseling for the students to help them process this tragedy. This kind of event can have a long-lasting impact on young people's lives, and it's important they get the support they need. If anyone has insights into what steps the school or community is taking to support the students, I'd love to hear about it. It's been a few weeks since the devastating loss of young Tavorje Kelly, and I can't stop thinking about how much his friends and family must be going through right now. It's unimaginable. I came across a tribute video online showing him having fun on the basketball court with his friends, and it really highlighted what a bright light he was. People often speak about these victims in numbers or statistics, but Tavorje was so much more.
One thing that's been on my mind a lot is how many lives have been irreversibly changed because of gun violence. This tragedy is another reminder of how vital it is for communities and law enforcement to work closely together to create safer environments for our children. I genuinely hope the police will find those responsible and hold them accountable, not only for the sake of justice but to bring some peace to his loved ones.
