I've been following the discussions around the tragic events in Kinston, and I wanted to talk a bit about the response from the local law enforcement. It’s really reassuring to see how quickly and efficiently they worked to apprehend Lawrence Cox Jr. after what must have been a horrific and confusing scene at the crime location. Coordinating between multiple departments like the Kinston Police, Goldsboro Police, and the SBI seems to have been pivotal in making sure Cox was brought in so promptly.
I can only imagine the immense pressure and responsibility those officers felt knowing the impact this had on Johnnie Lee Rouse and Ruby Cox’s families.
