I've been following Kashawn Johnson's case, and I can't shake the feeling of profound sadness for his family and friends. One aspect that continues to baffle me is the involvement of such young individuals in this crime. It's just incredibly unsettling. That a 15-year-old would be drawn into such violent acts makes me think deeply about the factors that lead kids down such dark paths. How can we as a community prevent this from happening again?
