I've been reflecting a lot on the role neighbors play in maintaining the sense of security within a community. With Ezzard Charles Stroud Jr.'s tragic death, it feels like that fabric has been torn, and it's hard to imagine how the neighborhood can fully move forward. I've read about how tight-knit the area was, and thinking about how everyone rallied around his family is a reminder of the community's spirit even in such dark times. But it must also be terrifying for them, knowing someone from the same town is the prime suspect. I hope the investigation provides clarity and justice soon, and that those affected find some peace. It's a tough reality they're facing, and they deserve all the support they can get. If anyone has insights on how these communities generally heal after such events, please share.
