I've been following the tragic story of Q’arysnn Maske and my heart truly goes out to her family, especially her mom, Shaqua. As a parent, I can't even imagine the pain and loss they're going through. I read that Shaqua is concentrating on being strong for her other children and I'm moved by her strength and her efforts to focus on healing and peace amid such a nightmare. This incident has sparked a lot of discussion within the Charlotte community about gun safety and the importance of keeping firearms securely stored. It's a painful reminder of how quickly things can go wrong when kids have access to things they shouldn't. I'm hoping this tragedy inspires more awareness around gun safety in homes, especially in communities across the country where children might encounter unsecured weapons. My prayers are with the Maske family and friends during this incredibly difficult time. If anything, I hope Q’arysnn's story serves to prevent this kind of tragedy from happening to another family.
