I’ve been following Isaiah Rashad Taylor’s case pretty closely, and it's just haunting to think of another young life cut short. What really stirred me was reading about the gathering at the Kinston High School Performing Arts Center. His community came together to honor him and show their support for his family, yet it also made me think about how many families go through this kind of immense loss without the spotlight of public attention. It’s inspiring and terribly sad at the same time. Isaiah was more than a statistic or headline—he was a father, a son, a friend. People's stories like his are what fuel the fight for change. Let's honor Isaiah by pushing harder for solutions to end gun violence for good. My thoughts are with his family, especially his child. They deserve justice, and hopefully, some peace in the days to come.
