Does anyone else find it perplexing that even after all these years and Gilchrist's conviction, Christina Zane's remains have never been found? It's haunting to think that there's this piece of the puzzle missing, like it's a ghost story that never gets told completely. The area around Todd Acres Road and Kooiman Road has been searched so many times. One would hope that with today's technology, maybe like ground-penetrating radar or other search methods, they'd be able to make some headway. It's unfortunate because her family still doesn't have the closure they deserve. Does anyone else think there should be more advanced searches done in that area? It makes me think there might be more to Gilchrist's story.
Has anyone else looked into the weather conditions on the day Christina Zane went missing? I'm curious if heavy rain or flooding might have impacted the search efforts back then. Given that it's a swampy area, any heavy rainfall could have potentially altered the landscape, making it even more challenging to locate her remains. Also, with the swampy terrain, I wonder if any other methods, like using technology or volunteer searchers with specialized skills, could be more effective today. Just a thought—every little detail helps when a case has been this cold for so long. If anyone's local or has access to historical weather data from Mobile, I’d appreciate any insights!
Have any of you ever heard about the potential psychic connections in missing person cases? I was doing some reading and came across the case of Christina Zane, who vanished from Mobile in 1982. Robert Steven Gilchrist was convicted, but her body has never been found despite extensive searches. It got me thinking about how sometimes families and investigators turn to psychics for help when they hit a dead end. I wonder if Zane's family ever considered this route or if there's any record of them consulting a psychic back then. It could provide an unusual angle to explore, especially in cases where evidence leads nowhere. Just curious if anyone else finds this fascinating or knows more about instances where psychics have aided in cases like Christina's.
