Hey everyone,
I've been reading through posts about the tragic loss of Derek Ortiz, and I can't stop thinking about how this must have affected his nieces, who were there when it all happened. It's unimaginable the trauma those little girls have to be processing. They were just supposed to be enjoying an afternoon with their uncle, who clearly meant the world to them. This is the kind of thing that no child should have to witness.
I really hope that the community can rally around Ortiz’s family, especially these young children, to provide them with all the support they need to heal from this awful experience. Stuff like therapy and counseling are going to be crucial, maybe someone local knows of organizations that can help?
Different forums and networks have shown amazing support in cases like this, so I'm hoping we can all keep Ortiz's family in our thoughts and continue to support them however we can. Anyone else reminded of other cases where the community really stepped up for the kids involved? I'd love to hear some positive stories. Justice for Derek. ?
