Has anyone else been thinking about the location where Ashley Hartwell was found? It's just so unsettling to me that she was discovered behind a vacant house and so close to where she was staying. The fact that she was so near to the drug house and still within her own neighborhood makes this all the more tragic. I can’t even begin to imagine the fear and confusion she must have felt in those last moments. It’s alarming how a community can change with the presence of gangs and illegal activities. My heart goes out to her family and friends who must walk past these reminders every day. Has there been any community effort or plans in place to address these safety concerns in the area since Ashley’s murder? I hope her story opens eyes and sparks change.
