Does anyone else find it odd that Eric was shot while heading home from the 7-Eleven, and yet nothing was taken from him? I can’t help but wonder if there’s something in that surveillance footage from the store that could hold some clues. From what I've gathered, Eric was just minding his own business, enjoying his night before this senseless act occurred. My heart goes out to his family—especially knowing how lost they must feel without any answers. It’s a chilling reminder of how life can change in an instant. For those in the Charlotte area, have you noticed anything unusual that night around Rivergate Apartments or South Tryon? It’s worth a shot to keep this thread going and continue discussing to help piece together any information that could assist CMPD in solving this. Eric’s family deserves closure and we can all do our part to spread awareness. Stay safe, everyone, and if you know anything at all, reach out to Crime Stoppers. Every tiny piece of information counts.

Hey everyone, I came across something intriguing while thinking about Eric Behrends' case. I live nearby, and I drive past the Rivergate Apartments area occasionally. One question that keeps bugging me is about the time of night Eric was killed. It was around 11:15 p.m. when the police were called for a welfare check, right? It makes me wonder if anyone in the area recalls hearing or seeing anything unusual around that time. I know it's late and folks might have been heading to bed or winding down for the night, but sometimes the smallest detail can lead to something substantial. Does anyone happen to frequent the 7-Eleven or live close by who might have noticed anything peculiar that night? Maybe there were cars speeding off or any other unusual activity that evening? Just thinking out loud here because it seems like even minor observations could potentially help Eric’s family find some closure. Blessings to Eric’s family and loved ones. It's unimaginable what they must be going through. If you're able to, please reach out to the Charlotte Crime Stoppers with any info, no matter how small. You never know what might help. Stay safe, folks.

I just can't stop thinking about how Eric's life was taken so suddenly and senselessly. It's devastating that he didn't even make it home from a simple convenience store run. The fact that he was just minding his own business, with no signs of a robbery motive, makes this even more confusing. From everything I've read, Eric was a light-hearted guy who loved sharing laughs and enjoyed gaming. I can't imagine the pain his family must be going through, especially knowing justice hasn't yet been served. It’s heartening to see the community and the police department working together, but it must be so difficult for his loved ones to still be left with so many questions. Sending strength to Theresa and Bob, and hoping somebody comes forward with the missing piece to this puzzle.
