Has anyone else noticed how cases like David Goffin's from the early 80s sometimes just seemed to hit a dead end, especially when there's little evidence to go on? I was reading through the details, and the fact that his car was found abandoned is very intriguing to me. It makes me wonder if he had intended to meet someone that day or if something unexpected happened during his drive. Without modern tech like CCTV or cell phone tracking, it's almost like these cases just stalled because the trail went cold so quickly. Does anyone have any theories about why certain lead generation methods in those days were so inconsistent? Or possibly any ideas on revamped approaches that might help in re-examining these older cases?
