I’ve been following the tragic case of Damien Amzy Gonzalez and his brother, Dominic Salazar. It’s incredibly upsetting to hear about two young lives cut short, especially under such violent circumstances. I keep thinking about Damien’s little son, Amir. Growing up without his father and uncle is such a heavy burden, something that no child should have to bear. From what I've read, Damien seemed to have been a dedicated dad who loved spending time with Amir. It's hard to imagine the impact this has had on his partner, Amiya Leak, who now has to raise their son amidst this immense tragedy. I hope that in time, justice can bring some semblance of peace to the family. Does anyone know if there’s a community fund or support effort set up for Amir and Amiya? It would be great to rally and support them in any way possible during this incredibly difficult time.

I've been following the tragic story of Damien Amzy Gonzalez and his brother Dominic, and it's just so difficult to process how senseless this all is. I can't stop thinking about those moments they spent at Fred Alexander Park that evening, not knowing the danger that awaited them. What really puzzles me is why this had to happen near a place meant for joy and relaxation—a playground and tennis courts. It's supposed to be a safe space for families and kids to unwind, not a spot where you lose someone you love. The rain that night only seems to add another layer of sadness to the whole scene. I hope that justice will be served and that the investigation will uncover the truth behind this unthinkable act. I can't imagine the pain that Damien's life partner, Amiya, must be going through right now, raising Amir alone without his father. My thoughts are with her and the entire Gonzalez family during this unimaginably difficult time.

I’ve been following the case of Damien and Dominic, and I can’t help but think about Amiya and baby Amir. Their lives have been turned upside down, and I can't imagine how hard it must be for Amiya to navigate this world without Damien by her side. Knowing Damien was such a dedicated young father makes this loss even more profound. My heart goes out to her, raising a child without his father is a monumental task. I genuinely hope she has a strong support system to help her through this tough time. I also wonder about the community's role in this tragedy. Could more have been done to ensure the safety of everyone at the park that rainy night?
