I've been pondering over the role of a journalist like Jim Leslie and just how risky it must be to uncover corruption at such high levels. Leslie's murder in 1976 was such a cold, calculated tragedy, especially when you consider he was just doing his job, exposing truths that desperately needed daylight. The fact that George D'Artois was arrested not once, but twice, yet never tried, leaves a heavy weight on my mind. I wonder if there are any hidden documents or reports from that time that could still shed some light on what really happened. I mean, it seems like there were a lot of moving pieces and powerful people with a lot to lose. It's infuriating how these political games overshadow the loss of a life. I can't help but feel for Leslie's family, who never got the justice they deserved. It must be incredibly hard to move on when there's no closure. If only some brave soul with insider knowledge would come forward, maybe then they'd finally get the answers they've waited decades for. ?
