I'm really struck by the nature of the threats Lowenfield made leading up to this tragedy. I've been thinking about how these warnings were a cry for help that went unheeded. It's distressing to think about how many lives could've been spared if only more had been done to protect Sheila and her family. I can't imagine the fear they must have experienced living under such constant threat. My heart goes out to all of their loved ones who continue to seek answers and support. How can we better advocate for victims of domestic violence so they feel empowered to seek help and are taken seriously when they do?
