Hey everyone, I recently came across the case of Phyllis Bell from New Orleans, and I can't stop thinking about her family. It’s absolutely devastating to imagine what they went through, especially considering how senseless and brutal the whole situation was. I’ve been trying to wrap my head around what it must have been like for Phyllis’s husband that day. I mean, not only was he attacked himself, but he witnessed his wife’s life being taken away in an instant. It breaks my heart to know that someone with such a history of violence, like Tyrone Bridges, was able to cause so much pain before being stopped. I imagine there must have been so many moments where Phyllis's family wanted to scream at the world about how unfair it all was. It’s a heavy reminder that justice, even when served, can't undo the emotional devastation left behind. Thinking of both Phyllis's and Lilly Russell's loved ones and hoping they’ve found some peace over the years. If anyone has more details on Jimmy Johnson’s trial or how Phyllis's family is doing, I’d love to learn more. Always praying for a world where such tragedies aren't a part of anyone’s story.
