Does anyone else remember the community rally they organized after the tragic event at O. Perry Walker High School? I think it was shortly after Jomo-Kenyatta's passing. It was one of those moments that showcased the strength and resilience of the New Orleans community. Everyone came together—students, parents, teachers—to honor Jomo-Kenyatta's life and to protest against the gun violence that took him from us. I remember there were so many heartfelt stories and calls for action, especially from his friends who spoke so fondly of him. It's heartbreaking to see the impact of such violence, and I truly hope those voices helped bring about some change. It's just a somber reminder of how deeply Jomo-Kenyatta was loved by those around him. Anyone else who was there or has thoughts on how these types of gatherings can lead to change?
