Has anyone else been to the site of the memorial for Officer Hardy? I recently visited the intersection of Felicity and Schlessinger, and it was a profoundly moving experience. The community has done a beautiful job of honoring his memory. There are flowers, notes, and small tributes from people whose lives he touched. It’s a stark reminder of how quickly life can change in an instant and the inherent risks officers face every day. I didn’t personally know Officer Hardy, but it feels important to acknowledge his sacrifice and support his family during this time of grief. My heart goes out to his wife and daughter, especially now as they navigate life without him. Has anyone attended the annual memorial services in his honor? I’ve heard the department and family hold a touching ceremony each year.
