I heard numerous stories about his kind-hearted nature and unwavering dedication to helping others. One time, he spent his day off repairing a broken fence for an elderly resident who couldn't afford the repairs. Stories like this stick with you because they show his genuine character beyond the badge. His loss was not just to his family and friends, but to a community that felt safer and more unified with him around. It's a somber reminder of the risks these officers face daily, serving and protecting us. I hope his family knows that there are still many of us who remember and appreciate his service.
