I’ve been thinking a lot about the impact that Ivy had on his community before his tragic death. Ivy, or "Don" as everyone fondly called him, was more than just a victim of a senseless crime; he was a cornerstone of his neighborhood. His establishment of the TBG Association really brought people together and created a sense of unity among his peers. It’s so sad to see the void his passing has left. Knowing how much he cared about his community makes it even more painful that his case hasn’t been solved. I can’t help but feel for his mother, Linda, and his sister, Kenya, who must miss his presence dearly. For those affected, let’s continue to keep the conversation alive and put pressure on those responsible for solving this. Don's legacy deserves justice, and so do his kids who will grow up without him.

I was reading about the case of Ivy Chauard Don Smith and it's so disheartening to see how little movement there has been over the years. One aspect that really struck me was the randomness of the attack itself—how someone could just pull up and open fire like that. It seems like it was a targeted attack, but without any clear suspects or motives, it just leaves everyone's imagination to wonder who could be capable of such a brutal act. I can't help but feel for Ivy’s family, especially his mother Linda and his sister Kenya. Losing someone you love in such a violent way, without any clarity or answers from authorities, must be an incredibly difficult burden to carry. Not to mention Ivy's children, growing up without their dad and having to deal with the questions that likely arise about what happened to him. The whole community must feel the weight of this unsolved case. We often hear that time heals, but without justice or closure, I imagine the pain is still very fresh for them all. It’s crucial that anyone with even the slightest bit of information steps up so that Ivy, Kevin, Joshua, and their families can finally find some semblance of peace. My thoughts are with everyone affected by this tragedy.
