Has anyone else noticed the lack of any digital trail or financial activity around the time Harold Simpson went missing? In many missing persons cases I've read about, there's often some indication of planning if the person intended to disappear voluntarily—like withdrawing cash or strange transactions. But from what’s out there on Harold, it seems like there's nothing of that sort. I wonder if investigators looked deeply into any bank accounts he might have had. It's odd for someone to vanish without a trace and not leave behind even minor hints of their intentions. Perhaps a fresh look into this angle with today’s advanced technology could unearth something that was missed decades ago. What do you guys think?

Did anyone else catch the bit about the old bridge in Livermore? I was reading through some of the older threads, and someone mentioned that Harold was known to take long walks around town, often ending up near that bridge just outside of the main area. People around there would sometimes see him standing there early in the mornings. Given how little there is to go on about what he was doing that day, I wonder if anyone has looked into activity around that bridge back in '86? It might be a long shot after all these years, but maybe someone saw something back then that didn’t seem important at the time. It’s one of those spots that’s just out of the way enough where something could happen unnoticed. Could be worth re-examining any witness statements or even if there’s some local who remembers any odd sightings or events back during that summer.

I came across Harold Simpson's case recently and it got me thinking about the challenges of missing persons investigations back in the 80s. Without the sophisticated technology and databases we have today, it must have been incredibly difficult to track someone's movements or communicate quickly across jurisdictions. Does anyone know if there were any sightings or tips that came in after his disappearance? It seems to me that even the smallest piece of information from then could be crucial. Maybe there's hope with modern advancements and revisiting old evidence?
