Has anyone looked into the community events or memorials that might have taken place around Baton Rouge during December 2009? I know it’s been years, but often, local communities hold vigils or memorials for tragic events, and those can sometimes lead to news articles or eyewitness accounts that aren’t widely circulated. A local newspaper or community bulletin might still have records. It's just a thought, but maybe someone who attended or reported on these could have more insights into what happened to Michael Smith. It must be incredibly tough for his loved ones with so little information available. Hoping we can piece together more about his story.
