It's concerning how deeply the 39ers gang had infiltrated the community. Hearing about how they operated almost unchecked for so long is chilling. It makes me think about how many families suffered silently, like Kendall’s, while this gang wreaked havoc on their neighborhood. The strength of Kendall’s family and friends during the trial must have been immense, knowing they were standing up not just for him, but for everybody affected by the gang’s violence. I hope the community continues to heal and finds peace. Let's hope these convictions are a step towards a safer environment for young people in New Orleans. Warm thoughts to everyone who knew and loved Kendall; he seemed like someone who had a lot to offer, and his loss is felt deeply.
