I'm really struck by the role that cooperating witnesses played in the trials related to Michael Marshall's murder and the larger case against the 39ers. It must have been incredibly difficult for these witnesses to come forward, especially considering the dangers of testifying against such a violent organization. Their bravery likely helped bring some justice to Michael’s family and others affected by the 39ers' reign of terror. Does anyone have more information on how the authorities were able to ensure the safety of these witnesses during the trial? I imagine it was a complex process, and I hope they received protection given the risks involved. My heart goes out to all those affected during this whole ordeal.
