Hey everyone,
I’ve been doing a deep dive into the Wendell Allen case, and it's just so hard to wrap my head around how things went down that day. Why was there no clear protocol for announcing themselves before storming the house? Especially with kids present. It's a tragic event, and I can't imagine what Wendell's family must have gone through. The fact that Wendell's younger siblings had to witness this just breaks my soul.
It's devastating to think that Wendell was only 20 and had his whole life ahead of him. He was just trying to be there for his family and was already back from college working locally. I keep thinking about the 'what ifs'—like what if the police had properly announced themselves? Could things have been different? It's just such an unnecessary loss, and my thoughts are with Wendell's family. I really hope they continue to find strength together.
Anyone else feel the same way about how this unfolded?
Sending love to anyone affected by this,
