Does anyone have more information about the Anchorage area back in January '88? I've been digging into the case of John Kellogg, who was last seen there on January 19th, 1988. There are rumors it might be connected to a drug-related situation, but I'm curious about Anchorage's atmosphere and crime landscape during that period. Were there known drug hotspots or any significant incidents around that time? Trying to piece together what might have been going on in the city to understand the broader context of the situation. Any insights would be appreciated!
Hey everyone, just wanted to bring up something that hasn't been discussed much about the Kellogg case. I was looking through some old Anchorage newspaper archives and noticed that around the time Kellogg disappeared, there were a few mentions of increased drug activity in the area. It got me wondering if maybe he was caught up in something larger than just a personal issue.
I know there's been speculation about a drug-related homicide, but I hadn't thought much about the environment and how it could have played a part. The 80s were a wild time for drug trafficking, especially in cities like Anchorage. Does anyone else have more insight or resources that could shed light on the bigger picture during that period? Any input or thoughts about connections to other cases around the same time would be interesting to hear. Thanks!
