I was thinking about the role of communication in this case. It’s chilling to consider how coded language was reportedly used by Thompkins to orchestrate these heinous acts from a distance. It makes me wonder how often things like this happen in organized crime and how law enforcement manages to decipher these codes. The layers of complexity are staggering, and my heart goes out to Harry and Nikki’s families who must have felt such despair learning about the methodical way these crimes were planned. While it’s somewhat relieving that certain convictions were achieved, it must still weigh heavily on the loved ones left grappling with this tragedy. I just hope there can be some peace found in the justice that’s been served, even if it’s just a small piece of solace amid the ongoing sorrow.
