I wanted to talk about something that’s been on my mind a lot regarding the tragic case of Shalom Smith and Kentrell Bankston – the location choices. It strikes me as really odd and deeply upsetting how methodical the perpetrators seemed to be. The choice to shoot on Craigie Street in New Orleans East and then move the bodies to Kenilworth Street feels very calculated. I can't stop thinking about what the attackers might have been trying to achieve by moving the bodies. Was it simply to confuse the investigation, or is there something more we might be missing? It's chilling to think about the mindset of someone who could commit such a violent act and then go to such lengths to cover up. I truly feel for Shalom's family and friends, and I can’t imagine the pain of not only losing someone in such a horrific way but also having to deal with so many unanswered questions. I hope as a community we can support them by keeping the conversation alive, sharing any info we might have, and maintaining hope for justice.
