Has anyone else been following the Travis Carter case in New Orleans? My heart goes out to his family and loved ones during this incredibly difficult time. It's just so frustrating and sad to see another case struggling due to resources or a lack thereof. The Treme neighborhood, where Travis was tragically killed, is such a vibrant and culturally rich area, and it's distressing to see violence overshadow the community. The NOPD is clearly stretched thin, and it's understandable that this backlog is impacting many cases. I can't help but wonder what can be done to get more support for the detectives who are working tirelessly to solve these kinds of crimes. It’s a crazy world we're living in when justice is delayed because there aren't enough hands on deck. If anyone knows of any local initiatives or ways to support improving conditions for the NOPD, please share. I think keeping these discussions alive and supporting law enforcement can help in some way. Hoping the right leads come through soon, so Travis's loved ones can find some peace. If you know anything, now's the time to speak up and help bring justice for Travis.
