I've been thinking about Andrae Noel's case and how it represents a broader issue in Shreveport at the time. It's tough to see so many young lives, like Andrae's, being cut short due to violence in the city. Though we don't have all the details about what happened to him, it makes me wonder about the environment people were living in back then.
Andrae seemed to have been a talented artist and a loved family man, which makes his loss even more profound. With Shreveport experiencing such a high rate of violent deaths in 2014, I can't help but think about how communities can come together to support each other and prevent future tragedies. If anyone has any insight into changing dynamics in that area or how community efforts have evolved since then, I'd love to hear your thoughts.

I've been reflecting on how the music scene in New Orleans and Shreveport has always thrived, bringing people together despite the struggles the communities face. It's deeply sad to hear about the loss of Andrae Noel, or "Duece" as he was known. To think that someone with a passion for music and film, someone who could have continued to inspire others, has been taken from us is truly difficult to process. It's often those who have the power to influence change and spread positivity through their art that we lose too soon. I really feel for his kids, Andrea and Bre'nell—they’ve lost not only a father but also someone who could have been their greatest cheerleader. It's unfortunate how these violent trends overshadow the talents and dreams of our community members. I can only hope that one day we understand more about how and why these tragedies happen and work towards making communities safer.
