I’ve been thinking a lot about the overlooked heroes in our community, and Clarence Becknell Jr. definitely stands out as one. I didn't know "Dudie" personally, but reading about him and hearing from folks who did, it's clear he had a heart of gold. It’s gut-wrenching to learn that while trying to assist a friend, he was caught up in this tragedy. It's beyond frustrating that his case remains unsolved, despite the efforts of law enforcement. You have to wonder about the difficulty and complexities investigators face. And yet, Clarence’s family must continue to live with this lack of resolution day after day. It seems so unfair. I find some solace in how the community has banded together to support his loved ones, showing kindness and solidarity in such a tough situation. If anything, it acts as a reminder of the difference one person can make in their community, even after they're gone. We should all strive to be a little more like Clarence and spread kindness wherever we can. Thinking of his family and hoping for the justice they deserve.
