Hey everyone, I’ve been following Jennifer Downs’ case for a while now, and I can't help but feel puzzled about the whole situation surrounding her disappearance. One thing I keep coming back to is the fact that she never picked up her last paycheck from Carl's Jr. To me, it seems like such a big clue because, let's face it, most of us wouldn't just leave money on the table like that unless something was seriously wrong. What’s frustrating is why this hasn’t led to more concrete answers nearly 30 years later.
I've read somewhere that Jennifer, aka "Buzz," had a close-knit group of friends. Does anyone know if they were ever thoroughly investigated or if any of them came forward about that day? It just seems strange that she’d call her mom from Weston Park, meet up with friends, and then *poof*—vanish without any trace. Really hoping someone has some new insight or theories. Keep the discussions going, folks!
Did anyone else find it odd that Jennifer didn't pick up her last paycheck from Carl's Jr.? It's not like her to leave money behind, especially if she was planning on meeting friends that night. Maybe something happened between that phone call and the time she was supposed to grab her paycheck? Hemet isn’t a huge place, and someone must’ve seen something. I wonder if any of her coworkers remember seeing anyone unusual around there in the days leading up to her disappearance. It's a long shot, but after all these years, even the smallest detail could mean something. Just seems strange to me – money was tight for her, from what I’ve read, and leaving that paycheck untouched feels wrong. Anyone have any thoughts on what might've gone down?
